Hong Kong–born ceramic artist Scott Chan came of age in the city’s lively 1980s and 90s street culture, a backdrop that shaped his mischievous, reflective voice in clay. Trained in fine arts but largely self-driven, his practice moves between sketch-like spontaneity and slow, meditative hand-building. Over the years he has shown widely in Hong Kong and Japan, with works collected in the US, UK, Japan, and Taiwan.
